We are going to start today’s trip in the ocean. The ocean is filled with tiny drops of water just like me. In fact, the ocean accounts for 71% of the earth’s surface! H2O in the ocean can come in the form of liquid water or ice from icecaps and icebergs. Some water stays in the ocean for a very long time while some water is recycled back into the water cycle, as we will soon see.
Interesting Fact:
"...current estimates indicate that 86% of global evaporation and 78% of global precipitation occurs over the oceans." -Raymond Schmitt
